GAF Warranties

As Master Elite Contractors for GAF, our team can offer a wide range of warranties. There are different warranties associated with different types of products.

Timberline® shingles (excluding Timberline Ultra) come with the following levels of warranty:

Standard:

• Eligibility: At least 3 qualifying products
• Warranty term: Lifetime
• Smart Choice protection period: 10 years
• Algae warranty term: 10 years for qualifying shingles
• Wind warranty term: 15 years
• Maximum wind speed coverage: No maximum for qualifying shingles
• Tear-off: Not covered
• Disposal: Not covered
• Workmanship: Not covered

System Plus:

• Eligibility: At least 3 qualifying products, installed by GAF certified contractor
• Warranty term: Lifetime
• Smart Choice protection period: 50 years
• Algae warranty term: 10 years for qualifying shingles
• Wind warranty term: 15 years
• Maximum wind speed coverage: No maximum for qualifying shingles
• Tear-off: Covered (when necessary)
• Disposal: Not covered
• Workmanship: Not covered

Silver Pledge:

• Eligibility: At least 4 qualifying products, installed by GAF certified contractor
• Warranty term: Lifetime
• Smart Choice protection period: 50 years
• Algae warranty term: 10 years for qualifying shingles
• Wind warranty term: 15 years
• Maximum wind speed coverage: No maximum for qualifying shingles
• Tear-off: Covered (when necessary)
• Disposal: Covered (when necessary)
• Workmanship: 10 years

Golden Pledge:

• Eligibility: At least 4 qualifying products, installed by GAF certified contractor
• Warranty term: Lifetime
• Smart Choice protection period: 50 years
• Algae warranty term: 10 years for qualifying shingles
• Wind warranty term: 15 years
• Maximum wind speed coverage: No maximum for qualifying shingles
• Tear-off: Covered (when necessary)
• Disposal: Covered (when necessary)
• Workmanship: 25 years

CertainTeed Warranties

All shingles manufactured by CertainTeed have SureStart protection, which protects property owners from manufacturing defects in the critical early years following a new installation.

SureStart covers:

• All materials: Any shingles that need repair or replacement will be handled free of charge, without exception
• All labor: CertainTeed will pay for any labor necessary to repair defective products
• Additional costs: Flashing, tear-off, metal work, and disposal are all included

There is also SureStart PLUS™ Extended Warranty Protection which offers additional peace of mind!

SureStart PLUS™ offers three levels of protection:

• 3-STAR Protection: This includes 20 years of coverage for materials and labor as well as tear-off
• 4-STAR Protection: This includes 50 years of coverage for materials and labor, tear-off, and disposal
• 5-STAR Protection: This includes 50 years of coverage for materials and labor, tear-off, and disposal, and 25 years of coverage for workmanship
